NFL Week 6 Picks and Teasers

Week 6 Picks

Lions vs Jaguars (+3, 54.5)

The Lions and Jags face off with the Lions coming off a bye week. Lions have had one of the toughest schedule thus far in the NFL, with opponents in their previous games having a combined record of 14-7 (Bears, Packers, Cardinals & Saints).

Lions have had trouble finishing off games so far this season, and led by two scores in all three of the games that they lost. Coming off a bye week, the Lions are in a great spot and by far the better team in this one. With home field advantage around 3 points, this line of -3 is saying that the Lions are 6 points better than the Jags on a neutral field. I believe Lions are 7 points better than the Jags.

Yes, the Lions blowing leads can be a concern here but Lions are in position to have a big game. Let’s just hope that Minshew Magic doesn’t lose this one for us but I really am confident in the Lions and they are a better team than what their 1-3 record shows.

CapWize Model

The model likes the Lions in this one and has a median score of 31-20 after one million simulations.

Pick- *1 Unit* Lions -3

Rams vs Washington Football Team (-3, 43)

The Giants are 0-5 but will have their best chance to win a game thus far against a Washington team on their back-up QB, Kyle Allen. I actually think Allen is an upgrade over Haskins, but I like the home spot for the Giants. Expect Devonta Freeman to have a big game in this one and to get around 15 touches in total.

CapWize Model

The model likes the Giants to cover with a median score of 25-20 after 1 million simulations.

Pick- *1 Unit* Giants -3
