Matt’s Week 16 NFL Teaser

Hope everyone had a happy holidays, but we have betting to talk about! I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud of a teaser in my entire life. We avoided two HUGE land mines 💣 in week 15 in the Rams and Steelers. Probably like 80% of teasers this week had one or both of those teams in a parlay, but we were able to avoid both:

BAL PK ✅

CHI +16 ✅

KC +10 ✅

PHI +19 ✅

That brings us to 9-6 on the year, which means we guaranteed ourselves to be in the green during this weird COVID filled season. We’re gonna go with a 3-team 10 point tease this weekend, with one Saturday game. Let’s check it out.

Leg #1: Tampa Bay @ Detroit Buccaneers -10.5  ➡️  -0.5  ✅

A pretty chalky pick here, but I see no scenario in which the Lions win this game. Stafford is banged up and Tampa is trying to clinch a playoff berth. The Lions defense has been terrible the last month + and I see Brady carving them up on Saturday. im gonna keep it pretty simple, I can’t see the Lions upsetting Tom Brady and the Bucs on Saturday.

Leg #2: Cleveland @ New York  Browns -9  ➡️  +1  ❌

The Jets beating the Rams last week is one of the most shocking outcomes I’ve seen in the NFL in quite some time. An 0-13 team took down Sean McVay and the Rams. Wow. However this isn’t sustainable. Don’t be scared off by this Jets win, they’re not beating Cleveland on Sunday.

Yes, all the Brown’s receivers are out due to COVID, but this is a run first team anyways. Cleveland is gunning for the AFC North title which is absolutely crazy, considering the Steelers were 11-0 to start the year. I don’t like betting on Baker Mayfield, but c’mon it’s the Jets. Let’s bump this line down from -10 to a ML.

Leg #3: Atlanta @ Kansas City  Falcons +11.5  ➡️  +21.5  ✅

This teaser leg kinda comes out of left field, considering that our first two picks were chalk. I’m not sure what it is, but I like the Falcons to keep this game close on Sunday. The Falcons offense is pretty solid and although they are 4-10, they’re a much better team than what their record indicates.

Funny enough, the Falcons haven’t lost a game this year by more than 13 points. This team finds weird ways to lose games, but they always seem to be in them. I think the Falcons cover the +11.5, but for this tease they can lose by three touchdowns and we still get the W. I don’t see the Chiefs blowing Atlanta out on Sunday.
