Nick Granered – Co-founder/Sports Data Wizard
My name is Nick Granered and I’m proud to be joining the CapWize team. Ben and I have been working on some really cool stuff behind the scenes for the last few months and it’s almost time to unleash the beast. But first, a little bit about myself…
Like I’m sure everyone reading this is, I’ve been a huge sports fan my entire life. I was born in Maryland and raised in Virginia so my sports allegiances are split between Baltimore and DC teams – Ravens in football, Wizards in basketball, Nationals in baseball, and my one true love, the Caps in hockey.
In undergrad, I double majored in math and statistics and I finished up my Masters degree in statistics in May 2020. The whole time, I’ve worked on combining my love of statistics with my love of sports on projects ranging from making models for DFS to working with player tracking data from the NFL. Check out a project I worked on dealing with predictive modeling at the NFL play by play level.
I moved to the Denver area in June and who lives three houses down? Ben. We bonded over our interest in sports betting and got to work on an exciting new project which is finally ready- The CapWize NFL Model
