7/12 Free Picks (MLB & WNBA)

7/12 Free Picks

Here are our 7/12 Free Picks. MLB is back today (in full today) and we have a few picks for you. Also, 5 games on the slate today for WNBA. 43 days til college football, can you feel it??!!

7/12 Free Picks (MLB)-

Washington (-140, 9.5) at Philadelphia

To start the MLB 2nd half of the season, I will keep the volume low with the high variability of the teams getting back into the flow of things after the all-star break. Last night’s 5-0 win by the Rangers over the Astros was a good indication of maybe things to come in the first few days back.

Stephen Strasburg opens up this series against Phillies Nick Pivetta. Nick Pivetta has struggled in the first half of the season. He has a 4.78 ERA/5.67 FIP/1.48 WHIP in his 43.1 innings of work on the year. Strasburg heads into this game with a 3.64 ERA/3.18 FIP/1.04 WHIP. He also entered the break winning his last 3 games.

I like the Nationals to be up after 5 innings.

Washington Nationals -150 (F5)

Dallas Wings vs Seattle Storm (-5, 148)

The Storm have lost three in a row all at home. They will get things turned around Seattle as I think they can regress back to how they were playing earlier in the year. has been a mess on both ends of the floor, shooting just 40 percent from the field while allowing opponents to connect on almost 44 percent of their takes and average 76.7 points against over those three games. In the first 5 home games of the year, the Storm gave up only 69 points per game. In this last 4 games, they have allowed 77 points per game giving up 40% shooting during that stretch. Seattle will return guard Kaleena Mosqueda tonight after she missed last game on July 5th. Seattle Storm -5
