12/28 Free Picks

A unit is recommended for 12/28 free picks below. Of the games I list as strong leans, play these if you already had a lean to these plays yourself (or you just want action on). All the games listed below as a pick are all tracked via Action Network.

College Football-

Oklahoma vs LSU (-14, 75.5)

The first CFP playoff game between Sooners and the Tigers. Joe Burrow and the Tigers are red hot and look to keep this up headed into this game. The Sooners will be without one of their top defensive linemen Perkins, and back-up running back Stevenson. The suspension to Perkins will be big because it is a pass rush that would be badly needed to pressure the Heisman quarterback.  Clyde Edwards-Helaire, LSU’s top RB, will be 50/50 for today’s game. I expect him to play, but he won’t be 100% with the hamstring injury.

The x-factor in this game is Lincoln Riley and Jalen Hurts. Riley is an underrated coach and don’t forget has CFP playoff experience. They have had 4 weeks to prepare to stop this passing game of the Tigers. Hurts has experience as well and has played in big games like this before also.

The Sooners should be able to keep this close throughout with their passing game but the question is- Can they get stops against Burrow and the Tiger offense? This line moved to -14 for the Tigers and the value at +14 is now with the Sooners. If the line gets under -14, the play is the Tigers but go with the Sooners at +14.

Pick- Oklahoma +14

Ohio State vs Clemson (-2.5, 63)

In the second match-up, and the one I am looking most forward to is Clemson vs Ohio State. The Tigers have been unstoppable in the last few games. Chase Young of Ohio State has been unstoppable as well. He is a guy that can completely disrupt the offense for the Tigers, and I like him to create havoc tonight.

Fields and Lawerence will be a fun QB match-up tonight and I am looking forward to them squaring off. Ohio State, in my opinion, is just as talented as Clemson. Lawerence has played in the CFP Final last year and will have experience in this atmosphere as do a lot of others on this Clemson team have.

As mentioned, Chase Young is going to be the difference-maker. I like the Buckeyes with the points tonight as a lean but my favorite play in this game is the under of 63.

Strong Lean- Under 63

Lean- Ohio State +2.5

NBA-

Jazz vs Clippers (-9. 221.5)

Clippers are coming off a big win to the Lakers on Christmas day. The Jazz will be without Mike Conley and of the games that he has missed, the Jazz have lost both games against quality opponents with him out. They lost by 25 to the Lakers at home and by 3 to the Heat on the road both this month.

Clippers should be able to put up 115 on the Jazz tonight and I have them winning 115-101 tonight.

Pick- Clippers -9

Strong Lean- Over 221.5

College Basketball-

Niagara vs Syracuse (-22, 144.5)

Syracuse should be able to score often against this Niagara defense. On offense, Niagara only shoots 32% from three and 42% from the field. They will be lucky to score 60 points in the Carrier Dome tonight. Syracuse should win this around a score of 83-57.

Pick- Syracuse -22

Lean- Under 144.5
